Dr. Anita Myers, DDS

Dr. Myers has been interested in dentistry since she was just fourteen years old. Due to a rare dental condition, she underwent extensive treatment and experienced true dental rehabilitation. Now she uses her personal experience along with finely tuned skills to assist others in their efforts to achieve a higher level of dental health and well–being.

Dr. Myers focuses her efforts on health–based cosmetic dentistry. She evaluates all aspects of each patient′s smile, ensuring that they not only have beautiful teeth, but healthy gum tissues and comfortable jaw joints as well.

Dr. Myers′ evaluation process begins with an extensive examination followed by a Personalized Smile Design. Unlike most cosmetic dentists who allow a laboratory ceramist to determine the size, shape, position and contour of a patient′s ideal smile, she does the work herself on plaster models of the teeth. This prototype allows the patient to see what the final result will be before the work even begins. A resin copy of the smile design is then used as a temporary veneer, which allows the patient to further evaluate his or her smile, speech, and overall comfort. When the patient is satisfied with the result, the lab reproduces the information in the final porcelain work. The results are beautiful, comfortable, long–lasting restorations.

Dr. Myers earned her bachelor′s degree from Texas A&M and her doctorate from the University of Texas Dental Branch in the Texas Medical Center. She holds memberships in the Greater Houston Dental Society, The Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is an alumnus of The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
